The main shopping strip of Newtown is the longest and most complete commercial precinct of the late Victorian and Federation period in Australia. Also the Newtown area has long been a very diverse melting pot, with people of many ethnic backgrounds and this vibrant local colour and 'flavour' extends into neighbouring suburbs around Newtown. Newtown is very open and individual cultural area which relates to all creativeness to this town. Relation with music, performing art different type of sex, such as gay and lesbians, different culture and clothing.
